Matara's gardens have been developed with love and care over the last fifteen years in conjunction with many friends and partners. Among them are:
Peter Yiangou - Architect, John Hill - landscape gardener, Derek Elliott - carpenter (particularly for the cloister and cupola within the Hilarium) and Simon Blackwood - for most of the paintings in Kingscote Park House. Peter, John, Derek and Simon were members of Beshara esoteric community who bring their beliefs and values to life through their work.
Paul & Elizabeth Richardson - who together landscaped the garden and parkland, particularly the Scholar's Garden and The Ponds.
Charles Stirton - Botanist, formerly Deputy Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and founder Director of the National Botanic Garden of Wales, for his friendship and support in the development of Matara.
Gek Bee Prout - for the wealth of wisdom in wellbeing that she brings to Matara.
Rosemary Verey - whose potager at Barnsley House inspired the Ornamental Herb and Flower Garden.
Paul & Pauline McBride - who developed Sussex Prairies and advised us on the development of our Field of Dreams.
Finally, the gardens could not remain as beautiful as they do without the hard work and dedication of the people who work here.
